There’s no better way to explore Monterey Bay than with an Adventures by the Sea kayak tour. A docent-guided tour will make your kayaking experience one of discovery and education. Our knowledgeable docents will share information about the ecology of the Bay, the history of the area, and the biology and habits of our varied marine life.  Abundant along the shoreline are harbor seals, sea lions and many species of marine birds.  At different times of year, you might see jellyfish or even an occasional whale! No need to wonder just what you’re looking at out there – we’ve got the answers! The conditions couldn’t be better for the enjoyment of paddlers of all ages and abilities.  We provide all the necessary gear, paddling instruction, and an orientation about marine wildlife.  You just need to paddle.

An average tour last 2 1/2 hours and when leaving from our Cannery Row or Lover’s Point locations. Paddlers may use the equipment after the tour for some exploration on their own. 

We can arrange special tours for larger groups or you can join in on any of our regularly scheduled tours at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
